Fraser Kitchen and Food Scale – Product Review

Since it’s time to fit back into our summer clothes, it’s time to watch what we’re eating, too! A huge part of learning to eat better is in learning portion control. That’s where a scale like this really comes in handy! If you need 4 oz. portions of something, it’s quick and easy to measure it out. whether you want to set it directly on the scale, or in a container on the scale!

This scale is really pretty. It’s a nice sleek black, which goes well with my kitchen and appliances! The slim design of this scale is perfect for my kitchen, which is a bit on the small side. I can easily store it on its side next to other items, rather than having to stack things on top of it..and it’s really easy to shove into a drawer, too! The buttons are touch-sensitive, and are supposed to work even when wearing food-safe gloves…though I haven’t had a need to try that at home.

I also use this when i’m making homemade aromatherapy salts and body butters, to help me measure the salt and other ingredients, rather than getting a bunch of measuring cups all gross and dirty. Since i started using this, I don’t bother to write my recipes in terms of ‘cups’…I just weigh the ingredients after I measure them, and, provided the circumstances haven’t drastically changed, I can use the measurements the next time to save my self a ton of stress and work measuring and cleaning all my different ingredients!

It automatically turns off after one minute, which is important to keep in mind…..it’s not rechargeable, though it does come with a battery!
